Mr. Kerr has 30 years of experience in the mobility space and has worked with leading operators, device vendors, and solutions providers to translate technology capabilities into effective customer value propositions.

He is responsible for the Global Wireless, Intelligent Home and Teligen Tariff practices at Strategy Analytics. Mr. Kerr is responsible for setting the research agenda across networks, applications and devices in the wireless space and for developing new syndicated research programs which extend our leadership in the connected consumer and connected business segments.

Mr. Kerr has spoken at dozens of industry conferences and has completed numerous custom consulting projects centering on opportunity assessment, market segmentation, portfolio analysis, and competitive assessment.

David holds an Executive MBA degree from Suffolk University, Boston, and a BA Marketing from Thames University London.

Barry Gilbert is one of the original founding members of Strategy Analytics. Barry's involvement in high technology research and consulting spans more than 25 years. He is presently tasked with helping identify, design, and develop new programs that meet the evolving demands of the global technology marketplace. He is currently working with his colleagues on the Global Forces program that identifies disruptive potential of companies in the mobile ecosystem and is leading the firms development of AppOptix, an innovative mobile measurement service.

Prior to Strategy Analytics Barry served as the COO of Current Analysis, a venture-backed competitive intelligence firm and as managing vice president of consulting for Bowne (NYSE:BNE). Barry has held executive level positions with Giga Information Group (acquired by Forrester Research) where he served on the executive management team and as VP of quantitative research and oversaw the Market Strategies Division (formerly BIS Strategic Decisions). Barry served in leadership roles at IDC, Computer Intelligence/InfoCorp, and as co-founder and EVP of the Market Information Center up through that firm's acquisition by Technology Financial Services. Barry began his career working in sales for Burroughs Corporation.

Barry holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Clark University's Graduate School of Business.

Phil Kendall, Director

As director of the Wireless Operator Strategies service, Phil is responsible for providing strategic and tactical support to leading wireless operators, equipment vendors, and software companies around the world. He is a regular speaker at wireless industry conferences and has authored major reports on operator expansion strategies, fixed-mobile convergence/substitution, customer segmentation, tariff initiatives, and the evolution of 3G/4G networks.

Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Phil was a research analyst at CIT Research, where he was the principal analyst covering a diverse range of telecoms markets, including mobile communications, fixed network services, satellite and cable TV communications.

Phil holds an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck College, London, and a BA in Economics and German from the University of East Anglia. Phil's background in economics and econometrics informs his highly respected analysis of both micro-economic trends in end-user behavior and macro-economic industry dynamics.

Sue Rudd, Director, Networks and Service Platforms brings to Strategy Analytics a unique range of marketing strategy and business experience across wireless, fixed telephony and internet services.

At Strategy Analytics she focuses on matching new technology to business opportunities for SON, HetNets, Small Cells and Wi-Fi Interoperability as well as service opportunities for Network Slicing, SDN/NFV, Edge Services, Video Delivery Optimization and Telco Cloud. Her reports cover competitive analyses of service platforms, OSS transformation, Cloud database requirements and business cases to maximize CSP Revenue per GB.

Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Sue worked for Comverse Technologies (now Mavenir) developing business cases for converged fixed and mobile IP services and VoIP over 3G. Previously at Motorola Cellular Infrastructure (now Nokia Networks) she coordinated wireless data services and directed projects for mobile network management and Intelligent Networking.

Sue has over 30 years’ experience selling to Internet, Telecommunications and Mobile service providers for multiple RF and ‘dot.com’ startups, Codex (Motorola’s modem and Enterprise T1 subsidiary), BBN (now Raytheon) and Burroughs Corp. (now Unisys)

She has a BA and MA from University of Cambridge and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Halvor Sannaes, Director

As responsible for the Teligen tariff and benchmarking services Halvor Sannaes is working together with the Teligen team of tariff analysts to provide high level telecoms tariff information and analysis. Halvor is one of the worlds leading experts on price benchmarking, and is a driving force behind the continued development of the OECD price benchmarking methodologies, working closely with tariff experts around the world.

Halvor has been working in the Teligen team since 1990, developing the first specialised tariff database for telecoms services. Before that Halvor worked for the Norwegian incumbent operator (now Telenor) helping key clients to analyse technical and financial aspects of new services. Starting out as a telecoms engineer Halvor was working in technical maintenance and radio monitoring services in the 1970s and -80s.

Halvor is managing most of the larger client specific projects run by the Teligen team and is responsible for the development of software models and structures used to deliver the data and analysis. With over 20 years of experience in this area Halvor has a long track record of helping clients to understand the sometimes overwhelming amount of telecoms price information, and to deliver systems to analyse and compare prices in an ever changing market.

Susan joined Strategy Analytics in 2008, bringing over a decade of experience developing strategy and analyzing trends in the global wireless and broadband industries. Susan thrives on discussing both the business and technical angles of mobile broadband and regularly speaks at conferences and client events. Her recommendations are invaluable to clients across the mobile value chain as they tackle critical issues such as 3G/4G plans and pricing evolution, cost savings and revenue growth opportunities, backhaul, and voice/data business models for traditional and emerging devices.

Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, Susan was a Strategic Business Manager at General Dynamics Wireless Services, where she conducted strategic planning and market analysis for commercial and public safety wireless network and international IT services. She held various positions including Director of Wireless Consulting at The Strategis Group, where she led projects involving market sizing and forecasting, market entry strategies, competitive assessment, business and strategic planning, and due diligence. Her experience includes analysis and forecasting of wireless data, next generation wireless services and devices, wireless infrastructure and components, and fixed broadband wireless.

Susan holds an MA from The Monterey Institute of International Studies (Monterey, California).

Guang Yang is Director, Service Provider Group based in Beijing, China providing deep insights into the communications service providers, regulatory and device dynamics for China and other key markets in Asia. He tracks LTE-Pro and 5G RAN, Massive MIMO and 5G Network evolution including, timing for 5G deployments, Network Sharing, RF coverage optimization, Spectrum allocation, MVNO opportunities, Regulatory Policy, 3GPP standards and economics of CSP Investment in 5G.

Mr. Yang brings over 15 years of experience in the mobile communications industry to Strategy Analytics. Prior to joining Strategy Analytics, he worked for several leading telecom players.

His expertise and reports cover research and development, standardization and strategic analysis for 3G/4G/5G, emerging wireless technologies and the development of the industry ecosystem. Mr. Yang has developed business relationships with Chinese operators, regulators and media players and leads and participates in consulting projects for multiple Strategy Analytics clients including service providers, infrastructure, device and RF components vendors around the world.

Mr. Yang received his BE and ME degree on telecom and information systems from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

Bernadette joined Teligen in March 1993 and now heads up our tariff research operation. In her career here she has developed an in-depth knowledge of national and international telecom tariffs for a wide range of fixed and mobile services. She has worked closely with many of Teligen's high-level clients, providing in-depth analysis, managing projects and offering client support. She is highly familiar with a number of detailed analysis techniques and comparison methodologies. She has conducted tariff and pricing workshops on fixed and mobile services at seminars in Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Teligen Bernadette worked at Frost & Sullivan in London, specialising in IT and data communications.

Jóhanna joined Teligen in 2001, initially working on market research projects and competitor analysis; she is a skilled analyst and project manager. At Teligen, Jóhanna has managed and worked on projects for clients such as the UK regulator OFCOM, the European Commission and BT. Jóhanna set up and managed a large mobile services project that monitors the UK mobile market. Jóhanna works on Teligen's off the shelf services, as well as working on bespoke client projects. A graduate of the University of Iceland in 1997, Jóhanna obtained an MA in European Integration from the University of Essex. She worked at Cambridge Management Consulting leading systems and process improvements projects, and undertaking market and company analysis. Jóhanna speaks English, German and the Scandinavian group of languages.

Josie joined Teligen in January 2011 as a senior pricing consultant, with particular focus on bespoke benchmarking projects. Her experience in the telecoms and IT services industry spans some 24 years, and she has in-depth knowledge across a number of areas, including fixed voice and data services, mobile services, unified communications, and hosted services, with particular specialism is pricing and price benchmark consulting.

She has worked on numerous price-related projects with telecoms service providers, regulators and large enterprises over the years, including a bandwidth pricing and performance review for a major European service provider, a competitive assessment of fixed communications service price for a European regulator, and an analysis of retail pricing, including historic assessment and price forecasts, for a new entrant.

Prior to joining Teligen, Josie worked with a number of consulting and analyst houses, including Ovum, where she worked for 12 years as a pricing and benchmarking consultant and, most recently, with Freeform Dynamics, as a principal analyst focusing on mobility and Unified Communications. She holds a degree in Economics from Warwick University.

Edouard joined Teligen in 2015 as Benchmarking Consultant with a particular focus on maintaining and developing various price benchmarking systems.

Since joining Teligen, Edouard has worked on a number of projects including Pay TV price benchmarking and bespoke Multi-Play for BIPT, Ofcom and Anacom.

Edouard has developed his research, analysis and Excel development skills through his previous roles in the spirits industry, starting his career as a strategic planning assistant for Irish Distillers, a market analyst for Chivas Brothers and Marketing Intelligence Manager for Pernod Ricard Travel Retail.

Edouard is a graduate of University of Portsmouth and ESC Bordeaux with a degree in International Business obtained in 1997.

He speaks English and French fluently and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Since joining Teligen in May 2007 Angela's role has expanded rapidly.

As well as contributing to the regular updating of the T-Products, she co-manages a project monitoring UK mobile tariffs and is responsible for tracking selected handset markets for a major handset manufacturer.

She is also involved in maintaining the OECD price performance baskets: T-Basket.

She is co-editor of the Tariff Outlook Premium newsletter and contributed to recent annual projects for the UK regulator OFCOM and the EU Commission.

Before joining Teligen Angela worked in various research and analytical roles across a variety of sectors.

Catherine joined Teligen in September 2007, where she was in charge of the regular updating of the formerly T-World Cellular database analysing mobile tariffs structure and trends to a worldwide level.

Catherine is now involved in the maintenance of the OECD Mobile Voice Price Benchmarking, as well as contributing to the research and update for other T-Collection services and ad hoc bespoke projects focusing on the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Latin American markets.

Catherine obtained a degree in Finance and International Business from the University Santiago de Cali in 2003 in her native Colombia.

Pawel Kmiec joined Strategy Analytics Teligen practice in 2009. His research focuses predominantly on two areas: monitoring mobile broadband tariffs and monitoring wireless tariffs in global emerging markets.

Prior to joining the Teligen team, Pawel worked as a researcher for the Digital Consumer Practice of Strategy Analytics and in the metadata references area at the Eurostat, Luxembourg.

Pawel holds BA and MA from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (Poland) and MA from Claremont Graduate University, Claremont (USA) in Applied Social Psychology and Evaluation. He is fluent in English and Polish, and has a working knowledge of other Eastern European languages.

Leah Cohen, Research Analyst

Leah Cohen is a research analyst with operational responsibility for panel management and data quality control for the AppOptix service. Her responsibilities include maintaining a representative sample, resolution of panel member issues, and analysis of trends and disruptions in user behavior.

Prior to joining AppOptix, Ms. Cohen worked as a research associate for the Strategic Competitor Intelligence – Mobile program (SCIm) with responsibilities for financial data collection and analysis.

Leah has a BA in Interdisciplinary Science from Florida Institute of Technology with studies in Astrophysics and Sustainability.
